Law of Original Continuity

It is a universal law of geology: hydrogenic stratum is definitely continuous at each lateral direction from its sedimentation, unless sedimentation terminates to cause feather edge or it is cut off by the edge of deposited primary basin. It is put forward by Nicolaus Steno in 1669 for the first time.
