Water multifunction and original ecology tourist area of Dongfenghu Lake Gorge (called “Dongfenghu Lake Scenic Area”for short)
Dongfenghu Lake Scenic Area is located in the geomorphic unit of Dongfenghu Lake with an area of 108.5 km2. It takes the Liuchonghe River as the link and runs in a long and narrow strip for 38 km. Most river valleys vary greatly in form longitudinally, where the upper part is wide and in box shape, while the lower part is narrow in V shape mostly. While stratum distribute on both sides of the river, some of them layer-upon-layer look like city walls, some of them has been wrinkled greatly or seriously weathered to form a number of rock pillar peaks. They comprise a natural, beautiful and harmonious ecological environment with either rich nationality culture or colorful vegetation and birds and animals that appear unregularly, which is one of the most beautiful water gorges in Guizhou Plateau.
